Carbon County and Wellington City Officials issue Disaster Declaration for the PRWID Water Main Break. This break has affected many residents in the Carbon County area. The broken line is the culinary water line for all of the unincorporated county as well as Wellington City. It is estimated that nearly 1500 residents will be affected whether by reduced water pressure or no water to their homes.
There have been water stations set up for residents that need water. Price City has generously offered water to those who need it. Individuals can take 5-gallon jugs or containers to Pioneer Park located at 100 East 550 North and fill them there. In addition, for owners of livestock who wish to fill tanks, they can go to Price City Domes located at 432 West 600 South and fill there, they have a 2-inch line hookup. (Between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm) PRWID has a water haul station in Wellington at 5382 East Washer Plant Road for larger users.
