A dominant first half was more than enough to propel the Emery Spartans past the South Sevier Rams 3-0 on the soccer field Tuesday afternoon in Monroe.
Needing a victory to maintain sole possession of first place in the Region 15 standings, the Spartans found the back of the net three times in the first half. Delivering a steady defensive of performance, Emery blanked South Sevier again in the final half to secure the win.
