Friends of Terry Erickson have organized a fundraiser to take place on Saturday, April 28 at 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm at the Price Utah Army National Guard Armory located on 584 North 500 East in Price.
Erickson is a husband, father, grandfather and solider. He retired from the Utah Army National Guard after serving in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom. He also served as a Commander of the VFW Post 2379.
Not only did he serve his country well but he gained many talents as a coal miner, truck driver, heavy equipment operator, farmer and concrete finisher. He was an avid health and fitness enthusiast that enjoyed racquetball, golf and weightlifting. When he wasn’t working you could be sure to find him enjoying outdoor activities like camping, hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle or ATV.
His love for the outdoors led to a tragic ATV accident on February 9 where he was immediately flown to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and admitted to the trauma center. Doctors found that his accident has left him paralyzed from the shoulder down. He recently was transferred to Country Life Care Center which is a long-term facility in Riverton.
His friends Becky Tallerico, Roger Tolley and Dave Jensen organized this fundraiser to help raise money to alleviate any financial worries his family is currently facing. There will be a silent auction with several homemade crafts, purchase baked goods and dinner which will be various homemade soups along with pigs in a blanket.
Any individuals who are unable to attend the fundraiser but would like to make a donation can visit Zions Bank on 45 South Carbon Avenue where an account has been set up. If you would like to send a card or visit Erickson he is at Country Life Care Center at 13747 South Redwood Road in Riverton.
Erickson is a special friend to many people in the community and is now in need of support as he recuperates and heals.
