For the second time this season the Desert Thunder Raceway played host to a set of weekend races, welcoming in a total of six classes during the two day event Friday and Saturday.
After sweeping the IMCA Modified division in the opening weekend back in mid April, Zane Devilbiss claimed another checkered flag Saturday night. His potential second sweep was thwarted by Regan Tafoya on Friday. Wyatt Howard finished second both evenings.
Bret Housekeeper took first place both Friday and Saturday in the Hobby Stock division. Housekeeper has beaten the field in each of the four races this year at the Desert Thunder Raceway.
With two sets of races down and still two more to go in the 2018 track schedule, the Desert Thunder Raceway will again open its gates on Friday May 11 and again Saturday May 12.
Following May’s races the track will close for three months before hosting the annual Castle Country Clash on September 28 and 29.
