Castle Country Radio would like to give voters a chance to get to know their candidates through a series of Meet the Candidates gatherings. The Q&A event features candidates that will be on the June ballot every Tuesday evening at 5:00 pm during the month of May on USU-Eastern campus.

Voters may listen live on KOAL AM 750 or FM 107.3 or access the live stream at www.KOALitv.com, both may be accessed through our website at www.castlecountryradio.com. A more personal way to listen to the candidates’ is to attend the event in person by visiting the USU-Eastern Central Instructional Building’s Black Box Theatre.

The second session will take place on May 8 with featured candidates seeking the Utah State Representative 69 seat. Those scheduled are Republicans Christine Watkins and Jae Potter, Democratic Danielle Howa Pendergrass and Tim Glenn. Voters may submit a question to the candidates by emailing election2018@koal.net. As a reminder, not all questions will be presented due to the number of candidates and time restrictions.

The following week on May 15 the Democratic candidates for Carbon County Commissioner/Surveyor seat will be John Jones and Joe Chrisman and Emery County Clerk/Auditor candidates Brenda Tuttle and Russell Larsen.

The May 22 Meet the Candidates event will be with the three Republican candidates for Carbon County Commissioner/Surveyor Jake Mellor, Tony Martinez and Paul Riddle. The Q&A session will be held in the USU-Eastern Central Instructional Building’s Black Box Theatre.

The final session will be Republican Carbon County Commissioner candidates, Jay Daugherty, Larry Jensen, Ryan Murray, Kendra Seeley and Amber Sparks on May 29 at the USU-Eastern Central Instructional Building’s Black Box Theatre.
