The Price Kiwanis Club Annual Adopt a Duck Race will take place at Pleasant Valley Days on Saturday, June 30 with the race set to start at 2:30 pm and will begin in the creek above Scofield and will end in town.
The fifteen plus yearly race brings in proceeds from the $5.00 Ducky adoptions to assist The Price Kiwanis Club to support the kids of Carbon and Emery Counties. The funds earned from the help fund the free Kid’s Day in the Park that is held in September, as well as the Sub for Santa program, plus helps cover educational costs and assists children who are in need of eyeglasses and hearing aids.
The Rubber-Duck Race first-place winner will win $1,000.00, second place will be awarded with $500.00, third will be given $300.00, while fourth place receives $200.00 and not be unnoticed the last duck to cross the finish line will collect $100.00. The great thing about participating in the duck race is that individuals need not be present to win.
Individuals who would like to Adopt a Duck may do so by purchasing tickets from any Kiwanis member or visit Castle Country Radio Station on Carbonville Road.
