Division of Wildlife Resources will be hosting a free Archery Clinic on June 16 at 9:00 am till 11:00 am. The event will take place at Gordon Creek Wildlife Management Area near Price and all skill level of archers are invited to participate.

“We’re having an archery clinic it’s a chance to come out whether you are brand new to archery, if you’ve never shot a bow and arrow before or if you have some experience, perhaps you go bow hunting or something like that this clinic has something for you,” stated Conservation Outreach Manager, Morgan Jacobsen. Archery is an enjoyable sport that can be played all seasons of the year whether it’s recreationally, competitively or hunting.

“There is a really good variety of opportunities here. So, youth are welcome as well as adults. We’ll have bows and arrows for all different age classes and abilities and lots of targets too,” said Jacobsen. Participants are welcome to bring their own personal archery equipment and the DWR officials will provide archers with several bullseye targets, 3D wildlife targets, moving targets and a crossbow.

“We’re working with Sportsman’s Corner at Bill’s Home Furnishings to provide some door prizes for people to walk away with at the end of the day,” said Jacobsen. There is no participant limit set for the clinic. DWR would like participants to register online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/archery-clinic-tickets-46238876725
