The Warrior Days Celebration is a new summer event that is set to follow SEUPA’s Fourth of July Energy Days. The newly established Carbon County event will start on July 5 through July 7 with its focus on recognizing Veterans and youth in the community with special needs. Organizers have put together a schedule jam-packed with numerous activities and events.
On July 5 there will be a chance to sit down and have lunch with Vets, enjoy the carnival all three days, dunk tank challenge, cornhole tournament, free movie. Taking place on July 6 is the Mounted Shooters show, soccer tournament, Diamond H Productions Bull Blast, foam dance and firework display. The final day of Warrior Days will feature NBHA barrel racing, Harley Davidson Racing, Patriotic Parade, horseshoe tournament, special Olympics rodeo, motocross and a public concert.
Event coordinators have worked hard to bring in some very talented musicians. “We’re very excited to be there I mean this committee down there and the people we’ve worked with down there are so amazing,” said Steve Nuttall with Now You See Productions. “We are bringing some of our friends with us on July 7 we got some great bands coming in that night.”
Pat Swenson knew at a young age that the country music life was for him and strives to write songs that strike an emotional chord with his listeners. “He’s got a hit that starting to get out on the radio stations and everything. Boy is he good, I mean he’s just a heck of a performer,” said Nuttall. The Utah country singer’s musical influences range from classic country artists like Don Williams, Merle Haggard to the hugely impactful Garth Brooks and George Strait to newer artists like Gary Allan and Eric Church.
Also opening for the night’s headliner is a band called Trailerpark Rebels from Jackpot, Nevada. The band features John and Amber Beck, along with Bobby Hayes. “This whole band is so well put together, that this singer and this band, oh my gosh they are good. Amber will blow anybody’s mind,” stated Nuttall. The husband and wife duo pride themselves in writing and arranging music for the group, with Hayes bringing his 30 years of teaching music experience to the band.
The grand finale of the Warrior Days Celebration is singer-songwriter Darryl Worley. “I’ve worked with Darryl a couple of times he is such a true gentleman and he believes in our country so much. He had the big song Have You Forgotten after 911, it was just played on every radio station,” said Nuttall. The love for music came easy for this Tennessee Native whose mother sung in their church choir. The audience is sure to experience his charismatic nature on stage.
