Are you ready to rock? Are you ready to roll? Castle Country Radio invites individual or group performers to come wow the crowds for a chance to be crowned the Fourth Annual So You Think You Can Sync champion. This amazingly famous, entertaining competition will take place on Saturday, July 28 during Price City’s International Days Celebration held at Washington Park.

Participants will have an opportunity to lip sync two songs, one of their choice and one by the radio station. The song provided by the radio station is chosen by a blind draw and contestants will receive the song on a CD so that they have time to prepare. All songs cannot be longer than three and one-half minutes with the four-person panel of judges instructed to make deductions on a contestant’s scorecard if their song runs over the allotted time. Performers are responsible for providing their song of choice to the radio station no later than Friday, July 20 on a single CD/jump drive/email to mallery@koal.net

Performers will be judged in three categories: originality, which consists of dance moves, costumes and props; appearance, which is audience appeal, eye contact and rhythm with the final category looking at overall lip sync abilities.

Cash awards will be presented to the top three individuals and/or groups. Third place will receive $250.00, second place gets $500.00 and the champion of So You Think You Can Sync gets $1,000.00, notoriety and bragging rights.

The competition is limited to 12 contestants with spots filling up very quickly, register for the competition at Castle County Radio Station at 1899 Carbonville Road on or before the deadline of Friday, July 20. Contestants will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $25.00, along with submission of their song of choice, plus blind draw their second song, obtain a copy of judging sheet and rules of the competition.
