The Assumption Greek Orthodox Church’s annual Greek Festival will take place on Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14 from 11:00 am to 11:30 pm at the church located at 61 South 200 East in Price. Guests are invited to come enjoy exquisite Greek cuisine, traditional dancing, church tours, newly refreshed gift shop and many other activities for the entire family to enjoy.

Serving lines will open at 11:00 am, with two serving lines to accommodate the people who want to go through the ale carte or purchase the express platter to go. “A to-go line, that’s how we have some people referring to it and it’s been pretty successful ever since; I think this is our third or fourth year,” said Chairman Chris Vlamakis. “It doesn’t have every single item that the main food line has but it has like the top three main dishes and the top three side dishes.” Guests can enjoy food items such as kourambiethes, finikia, baklava, koulouakia, Greek bread and much, much more. Organizers have arranged for accommodation for folks to be able to pay with a credit or debit card.

The Opa and Dainese traditional dancers will be performing for guests on both days of the festival and they put on quite a show as well. Friday night at 7:30 pm will be the Chris Dokos band who are very entertaining and the crowd loves them.

Visits to the festival are not complete without taking part of the free tours of the beautiful church. There will be three of them during the day on Friday and Saturday. An announcement will be made during the festival so get individuals to congregate on the steps of the church before beginning the tour.
