Carbon High School Senior and Sterling Scholar, Natalia Hopes would like to invite everyone to her Community Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 10 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Carbon County Fairgrounds Events Center located at 310 South Fairgrounds Road.

“Every two seconds someone needs blood and fewer people are donating,” explained Hopes. “Only three percent of the population donates blood and one donation can potentially save up to three lives and I think that is super cool and being able to help save lives is awesome.” Another fact shared by the American Red Cross is that 41,000 blood donations are needed every day.

A successful donation can be made on the day of the Blood Drive by being in good general health and feeling well; drinking plenty of water, have a healthy meal before you donate, it’s a pretty safe and quick process.
