Paul Anderson and Mark Carrillo claimed the Annual Regional Cornhole Championship Tournament Tuesday evening in Price.

The 2017 championship team of Ed Howa and Miranda Blanton were unable to defend their title. A full field of past champions also participated, vying to become champions again as 16 total teams competed.

In the end, all of the prior champions and other teams fell short of topping the team of Anderson and Carrillo. The top spot was determined in a double-elimination format.

The tournament included many hard-fought battles, including several sudden-death overtime matches. Teams from throughout the state of Utah participated in the mid-summer classic, as well as teams from Nevada and South Carolina.

The tournament began with the National Anthem, followed by the team selection and seeding process.
