The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce is excited to close out their summer schedule with an opportunity to visit the Tavaputs Ranch for a retreat for members and non-members.

“The Tavaputs Ranch Retreat which we do every year. You do need a four-wheel drive vehicle if you don’t have one we can carpool with other people. So, you will have to RSVP by the 21st of August because we will be leaving on the 25th,” said Stevenson. “If you are a member of the chamber it’s $25.00 per person to go, if you are a non-member $50.00 person but it’s going to be worth it.” The Chamber of Commerce must have at least 15 individuals signed up in order to host the retreat.

On Saturday, August 15 the group will meet and depart from the Carbon County Administration Building located at 751 East 100 North at 8:00 am and return to town approximately around 5:00 pm.

The plan is to arrive at Tavaputs Ranch by 10:00 am where the day will begin with several activities. “So, they will do tours, they will give us some information, they make us this huge luncheon and really it’s just a get-together and socialize with each other and just to get to know outside of the business,” stated Stevenson. Owner/Operator, Butch and Jeanie Jensen will share their experience of ranching life, its history, their Western lifestyle all the while guests can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Any new merchants/businesses, individuals that would like to register for the Tavaputs Ranch Retreat or would like to become a chamber member can contact the office at 435-637-2788 or stop by their office.
