The Emery County Business Chamber is hosting their September Lunch and Learn on Wednesday, September 19 at 12:00 pm at the Castle Dale City Hall on 20 South 100 East. This luncheon will be very beneficial for all attendees and their businesses.

The topic of discussion will be “Growing a Thriving Business” by guest speaker Dr. Don Albrecht who will share the planning tool Area Sector Analysis Process (ASAP). This was developed to help communities seek economic sectors that are both compatible and desirable. He has researched and written extensively on the issues confronting the communities and residents of rural America. Among the issues explored are natural resource concerns, economic restructuring, demographic trends, poverty, inequality, and education. His most recent book publications include Our Energy Future: Socioeconomic Implications and Policy Options for Rural America (2014), Rethinking Rural: Global Community and Economic Development in the Small Town West (2014), Rural Housing and Economic Development (2018).
