This Saturday, September 29th, Fifty ATV/OHV riders will embark on a journey through Carbon County for the First Annual Fall ATV Ride. The ride is hosted by Wellington City, East Carbon City, and the Carbon County Office of Tourism.

Tina Henrie, Tourism Specialist started planning for this event early in January of 2018 with the help from the Castle Country OHV Club. Tina seen the importance of having an annual ride and bringing riders in from all over to experience our wonderful ATV Trails and she really wanted our visitors to experience the beautiful changing of season up Bruin Point.

“This year we are starting with a one-day ride with a meet & greet the night before, however, I am hoping to grow this over a 3 day period and maybe even into a week-long event”.  Said Henrie. The ride is bringing over 35 out of town riders as well as some local enthusiasts. Castle Country OHV will be guiding the ride.

Joining Henrie on the ride is Katie Arruda who is a famous blog writer from Connecticut. She is spending 3 days in Carbon County to experience all outdoor recreation and then will write about her experience. Tina Henrie reached out to Ms. Arruda two months ago after she seen that 9 mile canyon was on her

“bucket list” and had not yet been crossed off. Mrs. Henrie made a phone call and extended an invite to Ms. Arruda to visit Carbon County and she kindly accepted. Katie has plans to ATV ride, Mountain Bike with Mark Jespersen of Bicyclewerks, Hike Gordon Creek Falls, Tour 9 Mile Canyon, and more! The Carbon County Office of Tourism is looking forward to hearing all about her experiences through a visitor’s eyes. For more information on Katie and her many adventures, please visit her website at www.katiewanders.com
