The Carbon Dinos continued the cross country season with a trip to Lakeside Park, the site of this year’s Region championship, Wednesday afternoon in Orem.

Led by junior Ryan Page’s performance the Carbon boy’s team claimed first place, topping Union by just two points. Juab, Providence Hall and Delta completed the field of five.

Regan Hansen and Emma Haddock’s top five finishes propelled the Carbon Lady Dinos past Union for another first place finish on the girl’s side of the track. Juab and Providence finished third and fourth to complete the field.

Wednesday’s meet gave each school an opportunity to compete on the course that will decide region qualifiers for the state championship meet in October. The teams will again travel to Lakeside Park on October 10 for the division finale.

As the season reaches the home stretch Carbon will return to competition on Wednesday, Oct. 3 with the Union Invitational.
