The Emery Lady Spartans suffered a 3-0 loss to the Manti Templars in the final game of the regular season Tuesday afternoon on the road.

Going toe-to-toe with the Templars for the second time this season, the Lady Spartans trailed 2-0 at the end of the first half. A late goal by Manti sealed the deal as Emery lost for the second time in as many games.

Finishing the regular season with a region record of 4-3-1 and 8-4-1 overall, the Lady Spartans will enter the 3A State Tournament as the No. 3 seed from Region 15. The state tournament will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

With one game remaining in the 3A high school soccer season, the Lady Spartans are locked into a road contest with the Carbon Lady Dinos at Carbon High School in the opening round of the tournament.

Carbon will complete the regular season on Thursday, but currently trails second place Juab by two games and leads fourth place Providence Hall by two games.
