The Emery Spartans will participate in their first region home contest of the season, after playing the first three away from home, Friday night against the Union Cougars.

After starting the region portion of the schedule with a victory on the road against Judge Memorial, the Spartans have lost two straight. Union is currently 2-1 in region play, one game better than Emery in the standings.

Filled with youth on both sides of the ball, the Spartans feature just four seniors on this year’s squad. One of those seniors is running back Rance Jensen, who leads the team in rushing. Union is led by do-it-all quarterback Lincoln Labrum, who leads the team in both passing and rushing.
