PRICE – For the third time this season USU Eastern volleyball player Sarah Mafi has been named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Mafi led the Eagles to a sweep over the Colorado Northwest Spartans on Saturday in Rangely. It was the second time this season the Eagles swept the Spartans.
Against the Spartans Mafi had 18 kills, 11 digs, and a hitting percentage of .324.
Her 18 kills on Saturday was the most she has scored during a conference game this season with two more games left to play.
So far this season Mafi has 308 kills, 314 digs, 44 blocks, and 354.5 total points. She currently ranks 26 in the country in kills per set with 3.50 kills per set.
Mafi and the Eagles will host a nationally-ranked Snow College team this Friday at 7 p.m. and then take on College of Southern Nevada on Saturday at 3 p.m.
