This Saturday night Fierce Fighting Championship returns to the Carbon County Events Center. All proceeds from the event will go to Carbon Caring for Kids.

“This has been a long time in the making” , said Cody Bunderson owner and promoter. “ We’re going to put on this event and raise as much money as we can for Carbon Caring for Kids.”

The Grand Prix returns now with four fighters. Bobby King will go up against Dustin Jenkins. King, who’s gym is in Ogden is expected to have quite a fan base with him as he takes on Jenkins, who had the best performance of the night in the first round of fights.

The other Grand Prix match will have Nate Kearsley taking on Thiago Alves from Brazil. Alves, who has a record of 11-5, is the top light weight in the state. “He’s right on the bubble taking the next step” said Bunderson.

Four local fighters will be on the night’s card as well.

Mason and Holden Sorenson will be back. Mason (2-0) will take on Andrew Arellano (2-0) . “In my opinion these are two of the top if not the top two 125 flyweights in the state”, said Bunderson.

Holden (0-1) Takes on Victor Sanchez (0-1). Mark “Blanca” Chavez (4-1) will take on Maninder Sekhon (4-5) for a belt at the 155 weight classification.

And then Nick Teny (0-0) who is a local preacher will take on David Grostic(0-0).

Carbon Caring for Kids is a local organization that collects and delivers food to families in the area. “You take eating for granted, and when you see how many kids in the county struggle with hunger, it really puts thing in perspective” , Bunderson explained.

Fight For Hunger gores down Saturday night October 27. Doors open at 5:00 pm and the fights get underway at 6:00.

With at least ten fights on the card tickets are available at fiercefightingchampionship.com, with all proceeds go to Carbon Caring for Kids.
