The Grand County Sheriff’s Office would like to recognize the hardworking, incredibly skilled team members that make up the Grand County Search and Rescue (SAR).
On October 23 they recently did a late-night rescue of an injured mountain biker on the Rodeo Trail which marked it as their 100th call of the year. The team is known to be one of the busiest SAR in the State of Utah. This team is skilled in performing intensive rescue missions and must be prepared to do so during the day or night, as well as in all weather conditions. Grand County EMS and Classic Air Medical also assisted in the later night rainy rescue.
The GCSO is very proud of the abilities of all those who assisted in rescuing the injured mountain biker and ask that members of the community please thank all agencies involved for their ongoing commitment to serving the community’s needs.
