Press Release:

HERRIMAN – Four Utah State Eastern women’s soccer players have been named to the 2018 Region XVII women’s soccer teams.

Sophomore captains Morgan Hall and Anna Towne were both named to the All-Region XVIII first team.

Sophomore Ellie Putnam and freshman Logan Duran were on the All-Region XVIII second team.

This is the second year in a row Towne has received all-conference accolades. Last year she was on the All-Region XVIII second team.

Towne has started every game for the Eagles in 2018 and has helped lead the Eagles’ defense to six shutouts.

Hall received first team honors after leading the Eagles in scoring in 2018 with eight goals while notching two assists. Hall started 11 of 13 games for the Eagles and received conference player of the week honors in September.

As the only freshman that earned all-conference honors, Duran scored five goals with two assists while making 11 starts in 2018.

In 2018 the women’s soccer team finished in fourth place in the standings during the regular season and loss five games by only one goal.
