Former resident of Helper, Ella Mae Ellington Phillips, age 77, died on November 21, 2018 in Pomona, California.

She was born April 3, 1941 to Florzell and Essie Bee Gore Ellington.

Survived by her daughter, Jennifer Ellington, California; grandchildren, Tamara Letsinger, Texas; Destiney Boyd and Allen Brown, California; four great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Moore and Leatrice Adeleye; brothers, Willie, Johnny “Jumbo”, Nate, Rufus and Heza Lee.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Frank Jr., Tony and Elbert; sisters, Louise Hunter, Betty Jean Watts and Florida Mae.

Memorial service will be held at her daughter’s home in Pomona, California and her ashes will be returned to Helper this June to be buried next to her father and mother.  Friends are welcome to share memories of Ella Mae online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
