PRICE – Utah State Eastern freshman Lamija Coric has been named the Scenic West Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The Lulea, Sweden native led the Eagles to two wins over the weekend while averaging 17 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
She also shot 51 % from the floor and 52% from beyond the three-point line.
On Friday against Casper, Coric scored a career-high 20 points and made six three’s on 75% three-point shooting.
Coric’s 50% three-point shooting percentage currently is ranks her 26 in the nation.
This season she is averaging 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
Coric and the Eagles currently have an 8-1 record overall and will travel to Riverton, Wyoming for a two-day tournament starting on Thursday.
The Eagles will take on Central Wyoming on Thursday night and Western Wyoming on Friday.
