The Price Chapel is excited for their upcoming Christmas Eve Candlelight Services on December 24 at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at their location of 611 West Price River Drive.
“There’s just a nostalgia to Christmas Eve and coming together and so we want to invite the community out this year to our Christmas Eve Services at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at Price Chapel,” said Pastor Steve Swinburne. “No matter what denomination or church you are part of we sing Christmas carols, share some stories and scriptures and prayer. We do a candle lighting and I’ll be sharing a short message this year about Home for Christmas.” The early 5:00 pm service will offer childcare for any guests while the later service will not have the service available.
Preparation for the annual services takes months to prepare each year. “It kind of starts out with coming up with a theme that we want to base everything around and I’m always looking for a new angle on the Christmas story this story of Jesus’s birth and then we bring in our music people, our worship team, pulling together what we are doing for songs and we do a kid’s message and all that,” explained Pastor Swinburne. The success of the program is not possible without all of the assistance from the church’s volunteers.
If you are unable to attend Christmas Eve services individuals are welcomed to attend regular worship services. “We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am and also if you’re just interested in checking us out, you can go to our website at pricechapel.org, we also have a mobile app, just search Price Chapel on your app store, you can download that and listen to messages on there,” said Swinburne.
