Our loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all, Thurman Smith Stevens, 93, passed away December 9, 2018 at the Good Life Senior Living Center (formerly BeeHive Home) in Price.

He was born July 15, 1925 in Green River, Wyoming to David Austin and Lovina Smith Stevens. On November 26, 1949, he married the love of his life Carol Lorraine Brubaker in Cheyenne, Wyoming; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on June 8, 1968.

Steve honorably served his country in the US Army in Panama during World War II and also in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in numerous church callings. He and his wife were called as Ordinance Workers in the Manti Temple for 8 years. Steve was a dedicated member of the Price American Legion Post # 3. He served as President of the Lion’s Club in the Price and Coalville communities.

Steve was a resident of Carbon County since 1967 where he was blessed with an incredible family and many lifelong friends. He was a tireless worker who retired from Mountain Fuel Supply as a District Foreman. Steve and Lorraine touched the lives of many and their acts of kindness will never be forgotten.

Survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Stevens, Price; two daughters and their spouses, Steva (Ron) Bryan, Rigby, ID, Rita (Kevin) Dunn, Price; brother, Donald (JoAnna) Stevens, Mesa, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Calvin; infant son, Gary Dee.

Funeral service, Saturday, December 15, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Price North Stake Center (449 North 100 East) in Price where the family will receive friends at the church Saturday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
