The Emery Spartans swim teams closed out the month of December with a dominating performance as both the boys and girls defeated Millard and Grand in a three-team competition Thursday afternoon at the Emery County Aquatic Center in Castle Dale.

Accumulating 449 points on the girl’s side of the pool, the Lady Spartans finished 197 points better than second place Millard. Grand closed out the field of three with 97 points.

The Emery boy’s were pressed a bit more, but still managed to take first place with a total of 329 points. Millard finished second with 293, followed by Grand with 290.
The Spartans will now take a lengthy break from the pool for Christmas break, returning on Friday, Jan. 4 in Moab. The next home competition will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 15 against Carbon and Wasatch Academy.
