Officials at USU Extension in both Carbon and Emery Counties would like to invite residents to take part in their annual Master Gardener Program. The ten-week course is set to begin January 24 and run through till March 28. This is a ten-week course that will be held every Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm with some classes alternating between the Carbon and Emery Extension offices.
This is a long-running program that is offered each year to residents who are seeking ways to improve their gardening skills by learning plant science of gardening, soil, fertilizer, irrigation, composting, weeds, vegetable this is just a few of the topics that will be covered during this session.
The cost for the course is $50.00 for one year or $80.00 for two years of classes. This fee includes a Utah Master Gardener Manual, handouts and light refreshments for every class. A few classes will be held on Saturdays but advanced notice will be given to students.
