The Lady Dinos defeated  5A West 57-41 Friday afternoon in Salt Lake City.

Led by senior Jodi Noyes with 23 points and sophomore Makenna Blanc with 13, The Dinos used a 20 point first quarter to set the tone in a contest where they never trailed the West Panthers (3-5).

For West, junior Whitney Banz dropped in 14 points to go with her five assists and her three rebounds and senior Keisha White added 10 points to go with six rebounds, four assists and three steals.

The win moves Carbon to 10-2 on the season sitting atop the Region 14 3A standings and in second place overall behind Emery.

Next up for the Lady Dinos is a road contest at Maeser Prep (2-6, 0-2 in region) on Thursday January 3 at 7 pm.
