The Emery Lady Spartans continued their winning ways Wednesday night as they defeated the South Sevier Rams 65-41.
The Spartans jumped out to a 33-24 halftime lead and used a 21 point fourth quarter to all but seal the victory and go to 10-0 on the season.
The Spartans were lead by senior Meagan Jensen with 28 points an seven rebounds. Senior Kinlee Toomer added 15 points and 10 rebounds to go with her 2 assists and 5 steals.
South Sevier was lead by junior Kenzie Jones with 13 points and senior Mattie Blackburn kicked in with 11 points in the losing effort.
The loss puts South Sevier (8-3, 0-1 in region) in second place in region 15 behind the Spartans who now sit in first place in region 15 and the overall 3A State rankings.
Up next for the Spartans is another region match up in Richfield (4-6) tonight. Tip off is set for 7 pm..
