The Carbon Dinos played host to six schools, including the Emery Spartans, Saturday afternoon at the Desert Wave Pool in Price for the final swim meet before the regional championships on Jan. 24.

After securing six first place finishes, the Emery Lady Spartans cruised to a first place finish with 209 points. Carbon finished in second with 164, followed by North Sanpete in a distant third with 26. Wasatch Academy, Altamont and Grand all finished tied for fourth.

The Emery boys team logged four first place finishes to end at the top of the overall scoreboard with 176 points. Grand ended second with 160 points, followed by Delta with 53. Carbon and North Sanpete rounded out the top five.

Both Carbon and Emery will now prepare for the regional finale on Thursday, which will set the stage for the State Championship on Feb. 7, 8 and 9 at Brigham Young University in Provo.
