The Lady Dinos came away with a road victory in Nephi last night as they defeated the Juab Wasps 47-31.

The game featured the top two teams in region 14 as well as two of the top five teams in the Utah 3A state rankings. With only four games left to go,  Carbon now sits at 15-2 and 8-0 in league play.

The Dinos were led by junior Abbie Saccomano with 13 points which included three from behind the arc. Senior Jodi Noyes went for 11 points and 16 rebounds and sophomore Makenna Blanc added 9, in a game that also saw Carbon go 10-of-12 from the foul line. The Dinos jumped out to a 25-13 halftime lead and kept it up down the stretch to come away with the 16 point victory.

Juab was led by senior guard Bayli Heap with 11 points and six rebounds. Senior Emilia Anderson added 10 points and 9 rebounds in a game that saw them shoot 50% from the free throw line and just 11-of-36 from the field. Juab (11-7, 6-2 in region) will be on the road next to play Union next Tuesday.

Carbon will travel to Herriman on Thursday to pla Providence Hall (5-11, 2-6 in region) game time is set for 7 pm.
