Dominant isn’t even the right word for the Dinos performance Tuesday night as they dismantled Maeser Prep 72-8 in front of the home crowd.

In a game where the visiting team only scored 4 points in the second half and were held scoreless in the third quarter alone, the Dinos seem to be ready for the state tournament coming up in a few short weeks.

Senior center Jodi Noyes led the way with 18 points and junior Abbie Saccomano added 17 points with 9 of those coming from behind the three point line. Nine lady Dinos scored in a game that was one of the most dominating performances that they have had in recent memory. The Dinos led 55-4 at halftime and didn’t let up the rest of the way.

This is probably a game that Maeser Prep would like to forget, with four players scoring two points each. They now drop to 2-15 and 0-10 in Region 14 play, and only have three game left this season.

The Dinos now find themselves with a commanding lead in Region 14 with two games left. They sit at 17-2 overall and 10-0 in region and are in second place in all 3A behind Emery, who has yet to lose a game this season.

The Lady Dinos now get the rest of this week off and wont play again until next Tuesday when they travel to Roosevelt to take on Union (9-8 ,6-3 in region). The last time these two teams met up on January 8 the Dinos came away with the victory that night 58-46. Tip-off is set for 7pm.
