PRICE – Utah State Eastern Men’s Basketball lost on the road   to the Colorado Northwest Spartans 79-72 in overtime on Thursday.

Two made three pointers made by CNCC’s Dre’Quez Harvey in overtime would be the difference in the game as the Eagles would pick up their second loss in Rangely this season.

Freshman guard Blaze Nield was one assist shy of a double-double finishing with 19 points and nine assists.

Sophomores Stevan Jeremic, Matija Novkovic, and Ognjen Pantovic each scored in double figures on Thursday with 12, 15, and 16 points respectively.

Jeremic led the Eagles in rebounds with eight boards.

USU Eastern forward Vojtech Ruzek put in six points and four rebounds off the bench.

Thursday’s loss puts the Eagles at 4-7 in conference play which places them in fourth place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings.

The Eagles will conclude their regular season at home on Saturday against #14 College of Southern Idaho.

Before the game against CSI, USU Eastern will honor the four sophomores on this year’s roster.

Tip off for Saturday’s game is scheduled for 5 p.m. inside the Bunnell-Dimitrich Athletic Center.
