Evelyn Ann Asich Wilmonen, passed away February 26, 2019 in Price, Utah surrounded by family at the age of 98.
She was born July 27, 1920 in Centerville, MT to Paul and Mary Super Asich. Evelyn married Carl Wilmonen at St. Ann’s Cathedral in Great Falls, Montana on December 14, 1940. After World War II, they moved to Kenilworth, Utah where they were longtime residents of Carbon County.
Evelyn was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper. She loved watching basketball, especially her favorite team, the Utah Jazz. She was always ready for a discussion or debate about the Jazz whenever someone brought up the subject. She found so much joy in baking for the people around her and was an excellent cook. You could see the love in her eyes when family and friends would visit her at her home in Kenilworth. Evelyn worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service in Kenilworth for many years and later became Postmaster in Kenilworth prior to retiring in July of 1982.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Gary (Annah) Wilmonen and Paul (Peggy) Wilmonen; grandchildren, Carla (Tarrick) Peyton, Justin (Melanie) Wilmonen, Wendy (Ted) Thayn; great-grandchildren, Ryan Ragen, Seana Birkenbuel, Aniyah Peyton, Elliah Peyton, Mimi Wilmonen, Derek Wilmonen, Preston Thayn, Hailey Thayn, Gavin Thayn; and great-grandchild, Paisley Birkenbuel.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wilmonen; grandchild, Sean Ragen; parents, two brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass, Saturday, March 2, 2019, 10:00 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service, Friday evening 7:00 p.m. at the church in Helper. Family will receive friends at the church Friday and Saturday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
