A large group of Emery High School student-athletes have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom during the 2018-19 winter season with a selection to the Academic All-State team in their respective sport by Utah High School Activities Association and the Deseret News.

The UHSAA has presented the Academic All-State Award for close to three decades. Individuals are selected for the award on the basis of their athletic ability and academic proficiency. The Academic All-State award is decided by either meeting an index score (view here) or having a 4.0 unweighted grade-point-average.
