Our loving mother and grandmother JuDee Lauriski Zachreson age 79 passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on March 3, 2019 in Price.
JuDee was born November 6, 1939 in Canon City, Colorado to Frank and Florence Lauriski. Later moving to Dragerton, Utah in her youth. She graduated from Carbon High School in 1957.
She married Joe Nielsen in April of 1963 and together they had three children; Terri, Robert and Tiffany. They later divorced and she married Martin Zachreson in May of 1981.
After beginning her career in the banking industry, JuDee transitioned to accounting at Kaiser Steel and ECDC Environmental Landfill. She retired early to take care of her mother. JuDee had a big heart. She enjoyed helping people and animals. She had the opportunity later in her life to serve the East Carbon/Sunnyside communities working as a Vista Volunteer, she enjoyed the experience immensely.
JuDee spent much of her free time cooking, golfing and spending time with friends and family. Later in life she was an avid reader. She also loved feeding the deer and birds in her back yard. She was very grateful to the Bookmobile staff for serving East Carbon City. JuDee had wonderful neighbors and friends who provided support to her throughout the years, this made it possible for her to remain independent and at home. Her family would like to express their gratitude for their support and friendship.
She is survived by two brothers Frank Lauriski, David (Marilyn) Lauriski; Daughters Terri (Scott) Yelonek, Tiffany (Steve) Metcalf; and grandchildren Alexis, Skyler and Garrett. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands and son.
Memorial Mass, Wednesday, March 13, 2019, 10:00 a.m., Good Shepherd Catholic Church in East Carbon where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Committal, Cliffview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
