The Carbon softball team crushed Delta in a region home game on Thursday. The Dinos got it going early scoring nine runs in the first four innings, and shutting out Delta through the first three.
Kaytlyn Cripps was on the mound for the win, giving up six runs on eleven hits, while striking out seven. Offensively she had just one hit but scored two runs and had two RBI’s. Amaya Prettyman added three hits with three runs and four RBI’s in the rout.
The Dinos were extremely efficient scoring in every inning but the fifth but then exploded for six runs in the final two.
Carbon now sits at 9-3 overall and 2-0 in the Region 14 standings which puts them in third place behind Juab and Union. The Dinos have been on quite a tear lately scoring 73 runs in their last four wins and winning six of their last eight.
Up next is a region match-up with Union on Tuesday April 2nd at home. Game time is set for 3:30
