Price, Utah (April 1, 2019) –  The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is planning a full closure of Price Main Street under the West Price Bridge (State Route 55),  Wednesday, April 3rd at 7:00 a.m. and continuing through Thursday, April 4th until 9:00 p.m. The road will be closed to all traffic as well as pedestrians.

The closure is necessary while the contractor removes the old concrete deck panels located above the roadway. Crews have installed a false deck under the bridge to limit the amount of falling debris from this demolition activity.  However, the road will be completely closed to through traffic to avoid the unlikely possibility of falling debris causing damage to vehicles or striking pedestrians.

A small portion of 5th West will close on Tuesday, April 2nd.

UDOT expects considerable flagging operations on Main Street under the bridge while crews are working for the duration of the bridge demolition. Motorists, pedestrians and cyclists should expect up to 15 minute delays until the demolition is completed.
