Austin Toy Atwood, 23, passed away April 26, 2019.
He was born on January 19, 1996 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Toy and Angie Everett Atwood.
Austin was a longtime resident of Carbon County where he graduated from the Lighthouse in 2014. He spent time listening to music, reading, watching WWE wrestling every Monday and Thursday, and hanging out with friends. Austin enjoyed playing games with friends & family. He loved playing sports especially football and basketball. He was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the Chicago Bulls. He spent tons of time fishing with family even though he didn’t enjoy it. He would do anything with his family. Austin loved spending time with his sister Allie and was very protective of her. He had a passion for mineral hunting with his dad and polishing his finds. Austin had a big heart and would do anything for anybody.
He is survived by his mother Angie Atwood and his father Toy Atwood; his sister Allie Atwood; grandparents, Lauri (John) Saxton, Barry (Joan) Atwood, Irene Everett; great-grandparents, Jane Stearman, LaVerne (Derald) Prettyman, Gayle Atwood and Maurine Craig; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and longtime friends.
Austin was preceded in death by his grandfather Randy Everett; uncle, Randy Perri; and his loving great-grandparents.
Funeral service, Wednesday, May 1, 2019, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home where the family will begin receiving friends at 9:30 a.m. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
