Georgena Lofley Hansen, age 92, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on April 25, 2019.

Georgena was born July 9, 1926 in Castle Gate Utah to John Charles and Martha Mable Lofley Sr.

Georgena married Ben Arvel Hansen on December 21 1946 in Elmo Utah and they were later sealed for time and all eternity on November 28 1955 in the Manti Temple.

Georgena was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Saints and willingly served in several callings and especially loved serving others as Relief Society President. Georgena’s hands were always busy whether teaching her grandchildren to crochet, serving her community involved in 4-H activities greeting town friends as an election judge and called upon by singing at funerals, church or community events.   Georgena was remembered fondly by several students as their elementary school teacher. She loved writing poetry and acquiring a collection of meaningful thoughts and quotes………

Georgena was survived by her children Arvel B, Arven D, Joy (Steve) Barton, Gayleen (Kelly) Sparks; granddaughters Dana, Jessie (Brock) Fausett, Sandy (Wes) Jolly, Alissa (Jared) Alger, Kellie (Jason) Holbrook, Jocelyn, Kaysha (Daniel) Sleet, Adopted granddaughter Cierra Jones and 12 great grandchildren.

Tribute service, Tuesday, April 30 2019 11:30 AM Elmo LDS Ward, interment service will follow at Elmo town cemetery. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 – 11:30 AM.
