James (Jim) Marrs passed away at home in the arms of his wife, Jeanne on April 24th, 2019.
Jim joined his father, Wayne, mother Norma and son Jon.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Jeanne, who he adored with all his heart. He also leaves behind his sons Jeff (married to Mary Ann, children Alexander, Briana, Alexy, Kristian and Luca) and Jerry (married to Dana, children, Scott and Isaac).
Jim had an incredible life and blessed many people.
He married Jeanne Lou Pilling on June 8th, 1963.
He worked at Chevron for 38 years in Utah, New Mexico, Colorado and California. He retired as the Retail Training Manager.
After moving to Price, Utah he pursued careers as realtor, manager, web designer, and communication specialist, just to name a few.
Jim was born in Ogden, Utah to H. Wayne and Norma Marrs. He was active in the Episcopal Church, serving as a senior warden and youth group leader, becoming “Dad” to all the kids who loved his support and guidance. He was a community advocate, serving as an officer in the Optimists Club. He was an Indian Scouts leader and a youth football coach.
He touched many lives, was well-loved and will be well-remembered, especially for his outstanding sense of humor.
Memorial services for Jim will be held at Ascension St. Mathews Church, Price, Utah on Saturday, May 4, 2019 – Jim’s 75thbirthday, at 11:00 am.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s name be made to the Semper Fi Fund.
