On Wednesday, April 24, 2019, Willis John Olson, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 62 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado. Willis was born on August 4, 1956, in Price, Utah to Willis and Alice (Jackson) Olson. On December 14, 1978, he married Jamie Laree Lemon together they raised daughter Christina Laree, and son Willis Lee. Even though his parents paid his way thru college, he followed his father’s foot-steps and spent 37 years of his working career as a coal miner, afterwords he remained in Colorado to be close to his kids and grand kids because to Willis family was his biggest job in life and ALWAYS put family first. His humor was one of a kind, you was either offended or drawn in laughing he also had a passion for Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Gold Prospecting and watching the grand kids play sports.
Willis was preceded in death by his mother and father Alice and Willis and his brother Jack. He is survived by his wife Jamie; daughter Christina; and son Willis Lee, his grandchildren: Alice, Shaun, Trevor, Rayan, Rachele, Sadie, great-grandson Dustin, and several cousins, nephews and a niece.
Funeral service Monday, April 29, 2019, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main, Price. Family will be at Mitchell’s one hour prior to service.
