Martin Eli Scarlet, age 33, passed away May 4, 2019.

He was born February 20, 1986 in Price, Utah to Ned Eli Scarlet and Norma Pilling.

Martin was a lifelong resident of Emery County and a graduate of Emery High School Class of 2004. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing baseball and basketball in his youth. Martin was a proud member of the Utah National Guard where he served from 2006-2012. He was a talented craftsman and handyman who loved working with his hands. He also loved tinkering with woodwork, tile and fixing his truck. Martin always wanted to be a coal miner, and at the time of his passing he was employed with GMS at the Skyline Coal Mine.

Martin had a wonderful sense of humor and brought great joy and comfort to his family and friends. He loved nothing more than making everyone laugh. Martin will be dearly missed by his family.

Survivors include his father, Ned Scarlet, Cleveland; mothers, Norma Pilling, Overton, Nevada, Jeanie Scarlet, Helper; sisters, Chantell Scarlet, Moapa, NV, Holly Scarlet (Steve Cave), Castle Dale; twin-sister, Lacey (Johnny) Donan, Cleveland; many wonderful children, Madelynn, Megann, Autumn, Nevaeh, Merrick, Maisie, Liam, Maddox, Aalba, Mya, Jasmyne and Preston; grandparents, Kent Pilling, East Carbon, Carol Pilling, Huntington; and many other loving family members and longtime friends.

Funeral service, Saturday, May 11, 2019, 10:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Friday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Cleveland City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Martin online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
