William Hale Curtice Jr., age 82, passed away May 20, 2019 at his home.
Bill was born October 14, 1936 in San Diego, California to William Hale Curtice Sr. and Mary Mostronsky. He married Gayla Karene Johnson, August 2, 1958 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Bill was a member of Notre Dame De Lourdes Catholic Church, a Boy Scout Leader and managed the Helper Gun Club for many years. His years of employment included aerospace and the coal mining industries. He enjoyed the out of doors; was an avid fly fisherman, pheasant hunter and trap shooter. He loved all animals, and raised everything from exotic pheasants, rheas and llamas. However, all dogs were his true best friends.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Karene Curtice, Carbonville; daughters, Kate Curtice-Owen, Parker, CO, Linda Curtice, Portugal; son, John (Lori) Curtice, West Jordan; grandchildren, Michelle, Nathan, Megan, Maritza, Will and Hannah; great-granddaughters, Rona and Katie May; special family members, Mary and Darcie Chidester, Bob, Maria, Andrew and Julie Turk; and his faithful companions, Amy and Jane.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Adele Neves.
Memorial Mass, Saturday, June 1, 2019, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass. Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Bill online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages contributions to Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Boys Town, Omaha, Nebraska or Best Friends animal sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
