The Culture Connection is taking time on June 13 at 7:00 pm to recognize two individuals, Neil Breinholt and Kathy Hanna-Smith who were both instrumental in creating the summer-long concert series for Price City’s Culture Connection.
“We’re going to have what I think will probably be the biggest opening of Culture Connection ever – we’re going to do some really fun things. The number one thing we’re going to do is we’re going to honor the history and heritage of Culture Connection,” said Price City Council Member, Layne Miller. “We’re going to talk about when Culture Connection started who got it to this point and the two big people, we want to talk about is Neal Breinholt and Kathy Hanna-Smith they were in charge of Culture Connection for years and years and years and they got it to this point and so we’re going to honor those two and we’re also going to bring back some folks who have sang with Culture Connection over the years.” Those scheduled to perform at the Price City Peace Gardens are Neil Breinholt, Jeff Keele, Jennifer Lopez, Kristy Woodhouse and others who will sing along with one of Carbon County’s favorite bands, This Is Your Band.
The evening will not only feature an array of genres of singers but will feature a classic car show on main street. “We’re also going to have a Classic Car Show at the same time. We’re going to block off 1st East and block off Main Street – we’re going to have classic cars. We’re going to have Price City’s own cornhole boards, we’re going to have cornhole tournaments for the kids, we’re going to do chalk art. It’s going to be one of those things that we’re going to be talking about forever,” said Miller. The outdoor summer concerts are a great way to unwind from the hustle and bustle of a busy work week. Spectators are reminded to bring their lawn chairs and blankets as they find a spot to sit and enjoy the music. Remember to invite family members, friends and neighbors out for an entertaining evening at the Price City Peace Gardens on Main Street. Don’t worry about dinner because food trucks will be manning the grill with several dinner items to purchase.
