Gilberta Carrillo Ramirez, age 80, passed away on June 22, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born February 4, 1939 in Otatillos, Badiraguato, Mexico to Ramon Carrillo and Rosario Ramirez. She married Vidal Leon in 1953 in Otatillos, Mexico and bore 13 children. She later moved to the US in 1990 where she enjoyed spending time with her 38 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren who all lovingly referred to her as Abuelita Beta and Nana. She enjoyed making delicious food for her family and always made sure they were fed. She will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband Vidal Leon, her children Arjelio Leon, Martin Leon, Rosa Armida Ortega, Luis Otoniel Leon, Luz Berthila Leon, Jose Severo Leon, Jose Valente Leon, Rosario Leon Cano, Jesus Ramon Leon, Mirna Aide Leon, her 38 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Her siblings Lorenzo Carrillo, Fidel Carrillo, Pedro Carrillo, Natalia Carrillo.

Preceded in death by her siblings Enrique Carrillo, Antonia Carrillo, and her children Alejandrino Leon, Luz Leon, and Jose Leon.

Holy rosary will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. with a vigil service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Mission San Rafael. Funeral Mass, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission San Rafael with interment to follow at Huntington Cemetery.
