The Emery Cal Ripken 8-year-old All-Stars will continue the summer with a trip to the regional tournament on Monday, July 15 in Long Beach, Calif.
Emery earned the right to advance to the Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament after winning the Southern Utah State Championship. The team will now compete in pool and tournament play against 11 other teams.
Matched with Central California, Northern California and Southern California, Emery will play three games in four days. If the team can accumulate a top two record in the pool, they’ll advance to a single elimination tournament on Friday, July 19.
