The Price City Progress committee is inviting the community to come and paint some flowers in the crosswalks on the block of Main Street from Carbon Ave to 100 East on Monday, August 5, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  The street will be closed off and paint is provided.  The goal is both downtown beautification and increased pedestrian safety.

This project has been in the works since this spring. Finding a paint that will hold up more than a few weeks and can be tinted to the colors the committee wanted was a challenge. Breinholt’s Southeast Paint has been a great partner in doing the research for the project.  The committee does stress that they really want to get community involvement to make this project a success.  The more individuals that get involved the more awareness the crosswalks will have.  Driver education about stopping forpedestrians in crosswalks is vital to keep our community safe. So put on some painting clothes and join the Price City Progress Committee on Monday August 5 for a fun time.  No artistic experience needed.  You can either paint flowers or fill in the Flowers that others have drawn. Either way the more help the better.
