PRICE – Former Utah State Eastern Men’s Soccer player Said Mohamed has signed with Humboldt State University.

Mohamed will have two years of eligibility left at the NCAA Division II program located in Northern California.

“I signed with Humboldt State because of the coaching staff and all the players were so welcoming and that really made it easier for me to sign with them,” said Mohamed.

“I also want to thank USUE for taking a chance on me and giving me two incredible years.”

In two seasons at USU Eastern, Mohamed played in 15 games with 12 starts as a defender.

“He came to us as a walk-on and we knew from the start he had great potential because he was very skilled,” said USU Eastern Men’s Soccer Coach Jared Woodhouse.

“He missed some time in his first year due to eligibility and got behind in practice. But In his second year he was one of our leading defending players.”

The Salt Lake City product joins Frank DeBry, Garrett Boston, and Jojea Kwizera who have moved on to four-year schools to play soccer.

USU Eastern Men’s Soccer will kick off their regular season on August 22 against Gillette College in Gillette, Wyoming.

The Eagles will have their first home game on September 26 against the College of Southern Nevada.
